AWS welding inspector

I have just finished my extensive training of AWS CWI examination course. My examination would be held on this Saturday.

I like the course because it recalled some of my knowledge that I have forgotten for so long. The coverage of the course is very large and there are too many catergories to remember. I hope that I can pass this difficult examination.

New colleague in my team

I have got a new colleague in my team called Bryan. He is very strange. I have used about 2 to 3 hours to describe a task to him but he forgot the whole thing in 15 mins and asked me again.

Well, I don't know why but I only know that I have to describe everything to him again. He is just wasting my time and I need to OT and complete my own duties.

Recently, my boss decided sending me to training. He wants me to attend the AWS welding inspector examination. The training will be on Saturday & Sunday and last for about 4 weeks. I have heard that the examination is very complicated but this is none of my business because I don't need to pay for everything. What I care is I have lost all my rest days in this month.

I am a guy who like to play softball. I am working in the Engineering Department of a global company.

Well, I don't really like this job because it is quite boring. But I want to be a professional inspector.

I like the word "Backgouging" because it is a process that can help the welding process. Otherwise, the weldment may not be completely penetrate through the joint. Like our lives, sometimes you can get through challenges in an easier way if you turn it up-side-down and dig out the root cause by "Backgouging".
